Our approach is to clone the meteorologist. As a meteorologist, what data would I pull to analyze this storm? What would I need to give me situational awareness of the atmosphere at that location? And how would I process all of those data points into a conclusion supported by sound meteorological reasoning?
Encoding that reasoning in software is what lets us produce credible, high-quality analyses at scale — answering the industry's demand for high-quality data right now, not days to weeks from now at a higher cost.
Bobby founded Citation Wx to connect the threads of his career. A former U.S. Air Force Weather Forecaster, private pilot, and geospatial analyst, he holds a B.S. in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an A.S. in Meteorology from the Community College of the Air Force.
His work has always lived at the intersection of forecasting the atmosphere, flying through it, and mapping what it leaves behind — a vantage point that shapes how Citation Wx reads a storm.
His passion is building storm-based software that ties those experiences together — the meteorological engine behind Citation Wx, turning hard-won operational insight into rigorous, well-documented weather analysis available to anyone who needs it, in minutes.
A Computer Science graduate from Colorado State University, Kyle is the architectural backbone of Citation Wx. Drawing on his experience at Maxar Technologies, he engineered the platform's entire backend — mastering complex integrations with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and GraphQL to ensure secure, efficient data flow at scale, the foundation that lets Citation Wx process vast atmospheric datasets fast.
Kyle pairs technical depth with disciplined leadership — a third-degree black belt and head Tae Kwon Do instructor. Smart, efficient, and relentless, he's focused on modernizing the property and claims industries through scalable, cutting-edge innovation.
